California Young Reader Medal 2016-17

Vista students will participate in a really fun state-wide activity called the California Young Reader Medal project. Books are nominated for different categories. Students read or listen to each book and vote. Here at Vista, Mrs. Vertuno reads the 5 books nominated for the Primary category to each primary class. Nominees for the Picture Books for Older Readers and Intermediate categories are available for check out. Once a student has had a chance to read/hear all the books in a category they will vote for the favorite. The votes are submitted to be counted with the whole state of California.
